A fundraising and awareness group
supporting the NSPCCs ChildLine Service

ABOUT LIAM

Liam was from a loving family, had great friends and was doing very well academically. He was described by his Headteacher as “a real character, who always made people smile and laugh”.

Liam was a keen artist who often spent his time sketching pictures for friends and family as well as an avid Chelsea supporter and gamer.

Liam Hearne As with many cases of teenage suicide, the true reasons behind what led him to do this have never materialised. In his memory, Liam’s brother Aaron set up 'The Liam Charity' his aims simple: to raise £100,000 for the NSPCC's ChildLine service and in doing so, help to educate young people in the local community about ways they can seek help in their time of need.
Total Raised £234,623.11

WHAT WE DO?

We are continuously pursuing new avenues to generate funds, gather support and raise awareness for the cause. Many of our events are ones that can be enjoyed by the whole family which, we believe is a vital attribute to have for the development and progress towards our targets as it is just as important for parents to know about the services as well as the children.
We can all relate to the challenges in today’s society for young adults and the importance of them to know that there is always someone who is willing to help them in their times of need.

NSPCC & CHILDLINE

The NSPCC's ChildLine service was chosen by Aaron as the beneficiaries of the fundraising efforts in memory of Liam, simply because they offer a service that gives young children, such as Liam, a chance to express their concerns anonymously.

ChildLine give counselling, advice and an opportunity for children to confidentially express their feelings 24/7. The simple fact is; had Liam known about ChildLine or other services available, we might not be sharing this story today.
